Katera Steel’s core strength lies in its skilled workforce. The deep expertise we have accumulated over the years directly benefits our customers at every step of a project. We are constantly improving our operations and investing in our employees’ skills, machinery and our production premises.
We master the entire manufacturing chain: sheet metal processing, welding and machining. Besides this, we also carry out mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, automation and electrical installations either as sub-assemblies or final assemblies. Customers can deliver the components to us, or we take care of the procurement for them.
We deliver parts, sub-assemblies, finished machines and extensive set deliveries directly to customers’ production lines and worksites on a daily basis.

In the beginning, there was a man and a single-family home in Kajaani. A workshop sprang up in the yard of his own house. There was an idea and boldness. The small metal workshop thrived, driven by strong will and skills. Forest ploughs and steel boats were born. They were durable and popular. The steel bent and the company expanded.
There was a move to larger premises in Kajaani and a start on making industrial steel structures. Growth came by constantly listening to customer needs and boldly innovating. The products were designed with users in mind, and partners and customers were valued.
Trust was built by doing things, through the hard work of many skilled professionals, and through the courage to be right more often than wrong.
